Jen collects domain names the way other women collect shoes. And poetry. The way a jumble, of seemingly ordinary words can be arranged so simply on a page as to take your breath away.
Jen likes new technology and raw form architecture that creates a sense of place. She loves photography & street art and is currently obsessing over patient reported healthcare models and reframing the way we think about people within the confines of the cubicle space.
Jen keenly enjoys anything from the Helvetica font family, dislikes unfiltered social contact, work meetings and people who insist on calculating their portion of a shared bill. She’s also not sure about the advice that bios are best written in the third person.
It just seems awkward.
The work stuff so far, sounds like this.
After an extremely short lived career in strategic planning for yellow phone directories, gaming consoles, tampons and telcos on and off line. Jen worked as a creative strategist for innovation companies like Pophouse and Whatif?! Innovation doing planning, social trend / futures research & new product development. She enjoyed most intensely, scouting non-traditional research and finding new data points help product development teams springboard into new ideas.
She also ran a marketing agency and street art gallery in Second Life until it became apparent that the profit from virtual work was never going to make enough to sustain even a virtual existence. She subsequently left to return to the First Life.
She used to write Innovation Feeder and a bunch of other blogs during her twenties. This site is her collection of ideas & thoughts to muse and re-use.
